The weather has turned pleasant in Delhi-NCR due to rains on Friday night. On Saturday, the temperature dropped by three degrees, but there was also some relief from the humidity. Light rain is expected on Sunday as well. At the same time, there is no possibility of heavy rains next week and the temperature will also increase. The temperature will reach more than 35 degrees.

Due to the change of weather in the capital on Friday, it rained in many areas in the night as well. Due to this, 015.4 mm of rain was recorded till 8.30 am on Saturday. Maximum rainfall was recorded at 083.4 in Ridge, 078.5 in DU, 060.5 in Najafgarh, 067.0 mm in Pitampura.

Delhi has received about 75 per cent of the monsoon rains in July itself, while two days are left for July to end. Due to the rain, there was also a drop in the temperature. On Saturday, the maximum temperature was recorded three degrees below normal at 31.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was recorded two degrees below normal at 25 degrees.

The temperature was recorded 30 degrees in Ayanagar, 31 degrees in Mayur Vihar. According to the Meteorological Department, now this period of rain will become a little lighter. Partly cloudy and light rain is forecast for the next week. Due to no rain, the humidity will increase and the temperature will also reach between 36-37 degrees. While the minimum temperature will be recorded between 26-27 degrees.

Jam at many places after rain

Due to rain and other reasons on Saturday morning, there was a situation of jam in many places. While at many places the route was changed in view of the Muharram procession. According to the Delhi Traffic Police, traffic was affected on the carriageway from Rajdhani Park towards Mundka and on Rohtak Road due to water-logging following rains.
Apart from this, traffic was disrupted on Aurobindo Marg from IIT to AIIMS due to a breakdown of a bus near Yusuf Sarai Bazar, and on Outer Ring Road carriageway from Peeragarhi to Madhuban Chowk due to breakdown of a small bus on Mangolpuri flyover. . On the other hand, traffic was affected due to a bus breaking down near Prahladpur red light on MB Road from Badarpur towards Mehrauli. Apart from this, the situation of jam remained in some other places also due to various reasons.
