Sometime back also people had complained on Twitter that they were getting calls from foreign numbers. After this WhatsApp issued a statement asking customers not to pay attention to such calls. At present, it is not known what is the purpose of those calls. WhatsApp has appealed to the people that if they receive calls from foreign numbers, they should be immediately blocked and filed so that the employer can remove such numbers from the platform. Along with this, the employer said that he is working through AI to identify such numbers from which people are getting calls so that they can be blocked. The employer informed that it has removed dues of more than 65 lakhs from the platform within the month of May to ensure the safety of the customers.
Block foreign numbers instantly
If you ever receive a message or name from a foreign region, block and record it immediately. To block, go to the chat section of that range and select the block option by clicking on the 3 dot option shown above. If you want, you can also try this painting by going to the settings.
